Two sections of six players with the top two players moving to the final. An all play all was completed in the final between the four players.

In 1934 there were two preliminary sections of six players where the top two players progressed to the final where an all play all was undertaken.
In section I H.A.Way and F.J.H.Elwell both scored four and a half points from five games so although the scores of the other players was not detailed with these scores it can be determined that they drew with each other and won all their other games.
In section II W.F.Fry scored four points and A.B.Coe 3 and a half to progress to the final.
In the final F.J.H.Elwell won two games and drew one to win his third title. The 1933 champion W.F.Fry was half a point behind.
